From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Chelsea hosted Watford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues have their Champions League chances firmly in their own hands after they battled to a deserved win over the Hornets at Stamford Bridge. A tepid first-half was put behind them in the second with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain all scoring to move Maurizio Sarri's side up to third above Tottenham and Arsenal in the race for the top four.

We'll have all the latest throughout the afternoon here.

Huddersfield 1-1 Manchester United, 70 minutes

Manchester United have freed up Juan Mata, allowing the Spaniard to go where he pleases in an attempt to create a chance from which they can go back ahead.

Tahith Chong has gone to the left for the time being.

And that's a superb opportunity!

Phil Jones has made a right mess of that. He's ran beyond the Huddersfield defence as Ashley Young delivers a low cross from the left, onside and completely free six yards out as he lets the ball run across him.

It isn't the easiest finish but he has to do far better, skewing the ball over the top with his right boot.

Huddersfield 1-1 Manchester United, 72 minutes

That's another good opportunity.

Better interplay from Manchester United and Juan Mata squares for Marcus Rashford about 14 yards out, Rashford stretching and sliding in an attempt to get a ball a yard-or-so too far ahead of him on target but slicing wide.

GOAL! Chelsea 3-0 Watford (Gonzalo Higuain, 75 minutes)

A third for Chelsea, and they will go third!

Gonzalo Higuain takes it nicely, lifting the ball over Ben Foster after Pedro played him in.

After an awful first half, Chelsea are going to come away comfortable winners. The scoreline is very, very harsh on Watford.

Huddersfield 1-1 Manchester United, 76 minutes

Another lengthy delay as Scott McTominay takes a bang to the dome as Jonas Lössl punches the ball away.

We'll have a healthy period of stoppage time in fifteen minutes or so.

Chelsea 3-0 Watford, 78 minutes

It isn't Watford's afternoon at all.

Jose Holebas dispossesses Mateo Kovacic and goes past David Luiz nicely, but can only crash against the crossbar.

Chelsea 3-0 Watford, 79 minutes

A goal for Gonzalo Higuain, and a decent shift all-in-all. Olivier Giroud replaces him up top.

Huddersfield 1-1 Manchester United, 80 minutes

Huddersfield look the likelier winners here, to be completely honest.

Thrice they cross into dangerous areas, thrice the crosses just evade blue-and-white shirted players.

Chelsea 3-0 Watford, 83 minutes

With the game gone, Watford change their strikers. Isaac Success and Andre Gray on; Gerard Deulofeu and Troy Deeney off.

Huddersfield 1-1 Manchester United, 83 minutes

Victor Lindelof might have a knock, and the centre-half heads straight down the tunnel as Diogo Dalot replaces him.

Manchester United now have a pairing of Phil Jones and Ashley Young in central defence. What?
