From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Blues have their Champions League chances firmly in their own hands after they battled to a deserved win over the Hornets at Stamford Bridge. A tepid first-half was put behind them in the second with Ruben Loftus-Cheek, David Luiz and Gonzalo Higuain all scoring to move Maurizio Sarri's side up to third above Tottenham and Arsenal in the race for the top four.
We'll have all the latest throughout the afternoon here.

GOAL! Chelsea 2-0 Watford (David Luiz, 51 minutes)
One brings two!
It is another header, David Luiz this time meeting another Eden Hazard delivery to again beat Ben Foster.
I wonder what Maurizio Sarri said at half-time...
Huddersfield 0-1 Manchester United, 52 minutes
Just over!
Karlan Grant finds space on the left after Juninho Bacuna breaks from midfield, Phil Jones leaving room for a left-footed curling shot towards the top corner as Grant checks back.
Grant's shot just rises a touch too high with David de Gea beaten.

Two changes for Manchester United, one perhaps tactical, one definitely not.
Nemanja Matic seems to be moving freely enough as Ander Herrera replaces him, but Alexis Sanchez is hobbling as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer throws an opportunity Tahith Chong's way, the youngster with plenty of time to make an impact.
Could that be the last we see of Sanchez in a Manchester United shirt? Down the tunnel the Chilean limps...
Chelsea 2-0 Watford, 56 minutes
Close. Very close.
Gerard Deulofeu drags his shot just wide of Kepa's goal at the far post.
Watford still alive in the contest.
Huddersfield 0-1 Manchester United, 58 minutes
The introduction of Ander Herrera has given United a little more zip in midfield, and they look better for it.
Tahith Chong has gone to the right wing, sporting a great mane of hair that flops about as he runs.
GOAL! Huddersfield 1-1 Manchester United (Isaac Mbenza, 60 minutes)
From absolutely nowhere Huddersfield are level!
It begins with a chance at the other end, Scott McTominay rising superbly to meet a corner but failing to get enough purchase on the header.
Jonas Lössl collects and thumps the ball forward where Manchester United are a little short at the back, Luke Shaw with a hopeless hoick at the bouncing ball but unable to cut it out.
Isaac Mbenza moves beyond him, taking his time and showing great composure to slot between David de Gea's legs, a first Huddersfield goal for the loanee in what may be his penultimate game for the club.
1-1. Can you believe it?
Chelsea 2-0 Watford, 62 minutes
A third would surely seal it for Chelsea, and Watford have Ben Foster to thank for keeping them in it.
Gonzalo Higuain's shot from close range is tipped over by the goalkeeper.
Huddersfield 1-1 Manchester United, 65 minutes
We are still waiting for a restart at the John Smith's, a faulty flag in the corner dislodged by Mbenza's celebration and yet to be replaced, the ground staff taking an age to trot out the required pole.
Cheers from the crowd - they've finally done it, and Manchester United kick-off about six minutes after the goal was scored.
Chelsea 2-0 Watford, 66 minutes
Watford make their first change, looking to add a little creativity in central midfield, Tom Cleverley's more attacking tendencies introduced in the place of Nathaniel Chalobah's defensive stability.
