Having beaten Czech Republic 5-0 on Friday night, England got off to a slow start in Montenegro and soon fell behind.
But they quickly stirred, with goals from Michael Keane and Ross Barkley handing Gareth Southgate's side the lead at the break.
In the second half they kicked on, with Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane and another Barkley goal enough to ensure all three points.
