The Netherlands stalled England's momentum heading into the European Championship by coming from behind to win 2-1 in an international friendly on Tuesday, with substitute Luciano Narsingh scoring a contentious winner.

After wins against France and Germany in its last two games, England looked like taking down another traditional power when Jamie Vardy finished off a flowing team move in the 41st minute.

An England team largely made up of fringe players struggled defensively and after Vincent Janssen converted a 50th-minute penalty to equalize, the striker barged defender Phil Jagielka off the ball and crossed for Narsingh to sidefoot home in the 77th.

It was the last opportunity for England players to impress manager Roy Hodgson before he picks his 23-man for the Euros, for which Netherlands failed to qualify.

So who staked their claim for a place at Euro 2016 - and who might have damaged their chances...
