Everton vs Brentford
Brentford hold on to claim their first away point of the season as their match with Everton finished goalless at Goodison Park. Both sides had chances in the first half, with Flekken denying Calvert-Lewin on two ocassions while Pickford make a great save to stop Wissa from scoring when he was put through one-on-one. Norgaard was sent off towards the end of the first half via a review from VAR, as replays showed a high challenge on Pickford when the midfielder looked to get on the end of a header down by Pinnock in the penalty area. Despite being a man down, Brentford held on for a much-needed point and clean sheet on the road, with Everton's lack of a cutting edge becoming increasingly apparent as the game went on. Substitute Beto had a few half-chances towards the end, but the Bees were good value for their point. Despite the man advantage for the best part of 50 minutes, Everton only had an xG of 1.15 to Brentford's 1.08. Dyche's men are away to Manchester United next weekend, while Brentford are at home to Leicester City. That's all from me, thank you and goodbye!

Brentford enjoy a rare attack on the counter, with Thiago playing through Mbeumo down the right. The forward struggles to find any of his teammates, with the away side deciding not to committ many men forward, and the attack breaks down.
Everton vs Brentford
Everton are still dominating possession with little to go, but Brentford are arguably looking far more confident defending their box than they did during the beginning of the second half.

Beto makes a good run, and is found by Tarkowski but from an acute angle, his first-time shot goes well wide of the post. He's made an impact off the bench.
