Burnley created so many more chances and the xG (expected goals) shows just that. Burnley had an xG of 2.06 in the first half to Brentford's 0.56. Fofana leading the Clarets' tally with an xG of 0.91. Changes in the second half? We'll know soon.

A chaotic start, a comparatively subdued middle, and a chaotic end to that first half. No shortage of drama whatsoever. Brentford went downt to 10 men in just nine minutes as Reguilon was sent off. Bruun Larsen converted the resulting penalty to put the Clarets ahead. Brentford certainly had their chances, but Burnley had the better ones throughout that half and came so close to doubling their lead right at the end of the half. Stay tuned for the second half.
