Evan Ferguson returned to lead Albion’s attack as sixth hosted seventh at the Amex Stadium. The Republic of Ireland striker, who has scored three goals in his last five top-flight outings, replaced Deniz Undav in the only change made by Seagulls boss Roberto De Zerbi.

They're now just a sole point behind fifth-placed Tottenham having played a game more, and Brighton are three points behind them with at least a game in hand on each of the two London sides above them.

Brighton were their own worst enemies in front of goal, but if they had found a breakthrough, there would've been no Seagull more deserving than Solly March. The wideman managed three shots from inside the box, totalling 0.28 xG, as well as 19 final-third passes, creating five big chances in the process. He contested a game-high 14 duels, winning eight with four successful dribbles from five, and also won possession six times with three tackles, albeit committing three fouls and winning one. Solly'd.

The second half had all the chances, verve and drama that the first lacked, with a plethora of chances at both ends.
