At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Rain is accused of breaking military rules by meeting actress Kim Tae-hee while on duty during his compulsory Army service. He is not allowed to have private meetings outside his Seoul base.
Thousands signed an online petition calling for an investigation, claiming the 30-year-old star was receiving preferential treatment. The ministry said Rain, real name Jung Ji-hoo, could face a “brief stint” in a military prison.
He joined the Army as an entertainer in October 2011 and is scheduled to complete his service in July. Ms Kim’s agency says the couple have been dating for a month.
