A man helped a woman who fell near a Brooklyn subway station over the weekend before following her seven blocks and sexually assaulting her in her apartment building.

Police released video of the incident and said the suspect followed the 38-year-old woman over 1.1 miles to her apartment near Fourth Avenue at 11:30pm on Saturday night. He would follow her to the stairwell and grab her between the first two floors, NBC News reports, then, a struggle ensued and the suspect sexually assaulted the woman before fleeing the building.

Authorities described the suspect as a 23-year-old man with a light complexion, 160 pounds with short black hair. The victim sustained minor injuries and refused medical attention at the scene, according to The Brooklyn Reporter. Authorities have not made any arrests and an investigation is ongoing by the Special Victims Squad.
