Teenage brothers guilty of sexual assault on sister
Two teenage brothers were convicted yesterday of sexually abusing their six-year-old sister. They were cleared of raping her after a jury at Birmingham Crown Court failed to reach verdicts and was discharged.
The defendants, aged 15 and 13, had denied assaulting the girl at their home in Birmingham between September 2006 and May last year. Their mother had called social services.
The 15-year-old was convicted of four counts of sexually assaulting a child, two of which related to indecent behaviour with another sister. The boy of 13 was found guilty of two sexual assaults, both charges relating to the six-year-old.
The brothers will be sentenced later.
