CCTV: Thief steals laptop of father attending son's funeral

CCTV has been released that shows the moments after a 'heartless thief' stole a grieving father's laptop as he attended his six-year-old son's funeral.

The laptop, which had earlier been used to show photographs of the young boy during the service, was left behind as the mourners moved onto the burial ceremony.

Upon returning to the church, family members discovered that the laptop had been stolen.

In the CCTV footage the thief can be seen entering the building and greeting staff. He is then seen removing the laptop from its case and putting it into a separate bag before leaving.

Detective Constable Ben Kirkham from Hammersmith and Fulham CID, said: "The theft of this laptop with the father's precious photos of his son has obviously and understandably caused huge upset for the entire family who are already going through a very difficult time.

"If you recognise the man from the CCTV or have any information please contact police."

The theft occurred at Pentecostal City Church, in Scrubs Lane, NW10, London on Monday 2 November.
