From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Anyone with a cat knows that they can hide almost anywhere.

Unlike dog owners, cat owners aren't likely to worry if they don't know where their pats are - even if they live in a tiny flat.

One cat in particular, a grey moggy named Pedro, has taken his hiding expertise one step further - completely baffling the internet as they scramble to find him in a picture of his owner Walt's kitchen.

Almost 300,000 people have viewed Walt's photo, posted on BoredPanda, captioned "Where is Pedro in this kitchen maze?"

Here's Pedro's (I mean, Walt's) kitchen.

Can you spot the cat?

This is who you're looking for:

As his owner says: "cats have the ability to disappear whenever they want – like ninjas. They simply fit into everything! And suddenly, they pop up like nothing happened, happy as the sun and the so on."

Warning: answer below!

Pedro's owner was kind enough to post a hint on his post, for those of us who are really struggling.

Here's the hint:

Have you got it now?

Yes - he was hiding behind those bottles. How do those cats do it?
