Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Fashion retailer Bench has launched a dedicated clearance sale area on its ever-expanding website.

Unlike the typical ‘offers’ section of an online store, Bench’s Outlet shop only highlights discounts of 50 per cent or more and includes a huge selection of menswear, womenswear, jewellery and footwear.

Take a hike

Regular readers of The Bargain Hunter will no doubt be aware of Amazon.co.uk’s regular Karrimor footwear offers. The incredible deals always attract a lot of attention online and the latest saving should be no exception – with Amazon offering a high-end unisex hiking shoe worth £70 for just £19.99. The Karrimor Traveller is available in UK sizes 4 to 11 and in a navy or pewter finish. Even better, the offer is eligible for Amazon’s free ‘Super Saver Delivery’.

Makes Scents

The unfortunately named cosmetics website CheapSmells.com has dozens of discounted items at the moment – and on plenty of quality produce too. Cut price eau de toilettes and parfums include Nino Cerruti’s 1881 (100ml), down from £37 to £16.95, Ted Lapidus’ Silk Way (75ml), reduced from £53 to £15.99 and Photo by Karl Lagerfeld (125ml), down from £31 to just £12.94.

Berry nice

For many people strawberries are the taste of summer, making Sainsbury’s latest buy-one-get-one-free deal a perfectly timed treat. The two-for-one offer is available on 227g packs of British Strawberries and will run, subject to stock lasting, until June 8.

A big turn-on

DiscountCoder.com is a website always worthy of a bargain hunter’s attention as they host a huge variety of printable coupons and voucher codes. Pick of the bunch this week is a code that entitles users to £50 off Sony 32-40 inch televisions at Argos. Simply visit: http://bit.ly/8ZtxAK and click on the code ‘SONY50’ to claim.
