Tennis player Andy Murray continues to overshare about his relationship with wife Kim Sears, telling reporters on court about his proposal.

It comes amid the earth-shattering revelation that following their nuptials Sears changed her surname to Murray

Meanwhile, the Scottish tennis player continues to bounce around Europe signing camera lenses with profound insights, such as “marriage works”, alongside his signature.

Shortly after winning against Facunder Arguello of Argentina in the lead-up to the French Open, a reporter asks Murray: “Was it more difficult to get Kim to marry you or to win two tournaments on clay this year?”

“She put up with me for nine and a half years,” he said as the crowd – previously quiet – suddenly wake up and start cheering.

"So it was probably about time that I proposed and I’m glad that she said yes,” he added, grinning.

Murray, 28, and Sears, 27, married with an attempt at privacy in the Scottish tennis player’s hometown of Dunblane, later celebrating at Murray’s Cromlix House Hotel, earlier this year.

Sears’ decision was apparently revealed after the couple thanked Cromlix House staff in the hotel’s guest book.
