Alongside the trophy and bragging rights, the winner will also take home a $250,000 (£210,000) grand prize.
The tournament takes place over three days at the O2 in London, from 2-4 August, with 16 of the players on Playstation and 16 on Xbox. The best of each stream will meet in the final, for a two-legged match to decide the world champion.
Those taking part are the best of the best when it comes to Fifa, meaning any of the players has a legitimate chance of taking home the winner’s trophy.

MoAuba wins the semi-final and is PS4 champion.
That must be one of the most thrilling games of Fifa ever. nicolas99fc coming back from being three goals down to bring it level, in the very last minute. A very anxious extra time. And then penalties that let MoAuba win back the match after throwing away the lead so spectacularly!
We've got half an hour's break now until the final, which kicks off at 5.30 local UK time.

If MoAuba wins, it will be the culmination of an underdog story that saw him come back from behind in a thrilling semi-final. If msdossary wins, it will make him the first person ever to win two Fifa eWorld Cups back-to-back.
Remember that the final will be a little different to the semi-finals: since it is PS4 vs Xbox in this match, there'll be one leg on each console.

(Got to say it looks pretty similar from here, though most of the new features are around set pieces and the controls, neither of which we've had much of a sense for in this reveal yet.)
Hard to know how different this Fifa is really when you're not playing with it and the features aren't being used very much... But it looks good!
