Black Friday 2024 kicks off in less than a week, but retailers from Currys, Argos and Debenhams to Boots and Shark have already kicked off their sales. Ecommerce giant Amazon is the latest to launch, with Sony PlayStation and Glossier joining this weekend.

Whether you’re looking to stock up on beauty essentials, replace your old laptop or invest in a new mattress, the IndyBest team is compiling hundreds of deals in our Black Friday shopping guides. But for real-time updates on discounts and news as it drops, our liveblog has you covered.

But, whether you’re after a TV, toys, jewellery or furniture, the biggest price drops aren’t necessarily the most impressive. The best, genuine deals are those on products that are actually worth your money, so we’ll make sure to bring you offers on items we’ve tested ourselves.

So far, Dyson’s Black Friday sale has discounted the cultairwrap while Sony has discounted the price of the PS5 Slim to an all-time low. Elsewhere, you can find bargains at John Lewis, Argos, Lookfantastic and more. It’s shaping up to be one of the biggest Black Friday sales ever.

These are some of the best Argos Black Friday deals I’ve seen

The Argos Black Friday sale is being touted as its biggest yet. I’ve been compiling the best deals in my dedicated Argos shopping guide. In there, you’ll find a deal on a Dyson cordless vacuum cleaner (was £800, now £650, Argos.co.uk) an LG TV (was £599, now £499, Argos.co.uk) and much more.

Amazon’s Black Friday week has arrived

The mammoth retailer has now launched its official Black Friday sale, which will last until 2 December. Amazon’s own devices are on sale, of course. There’s 21 per cent off the Kindle Paperwhite (was £169.99, now £134.99, Amazon.co.uk), and the Amazon Fire HD 10 tablet (was £149.99, now £74.99, Amazon.co.uk) has fallen to its lowest ever price. You can also save on top brands such as Ninja and Samsung.

Save on Molton Brown’s shower gel

Calling all fans of luxury bath products: this isn’t technically a Black Friday deal, but you can save 20 per cent on a bottle of Molton Brown shower gel at the minute. The perfect Christmas present or a wintry evening treat.

Molton Brown re-charge black pepper bath and shower gel: Was £25, now £20, Amazon.co.uk

(Amazon)

This shower gel marries black pepper, coriander, vetiver and oakmoss. Our reviewer found this gel to have a “satisfyingly smooth texture that also lathers up to create a decent foam”. This makes it “equally effective as a shower gel and bubble bath”, our tester added.

Our favourite Garmin watch is discounted at Argos

If you’re considering a Garmin watch, there’s a lot to like about the vivoactive 5. In fact, it was named the best overall in our review of the best Garmin watches. I’ve just seen a £30 discount at Argos, and, owing to the retailer’s price promise, Argos won’t make the watch any cheaper between now and the end of Black Friday.

Garmin vivoactive 5: Was £229, now £199, Argos.com

(Argos)

“The first thing we noticed about the vivoactive 5 was its sleek, streamlined design”, our reviewer said. “It can track a wide range of fitness metrics, including steps, heart rate, distance, calories burned, sleep quality, and more than 30 preloaded sports”, they added. They were impressed by its sleep coaching capability, too.

Here’s a deal on the Meta Quest 3S

Intrigued by virtual reality? Take a look at this deal on the Meta Quest 3S.

Meta Quest 3S all-in-one mixed reality headset and controllers, 256GB: Was £379, now £359 Johnlewis.com

In his review, our tech writer Alex described the Meta Quest 3S as a “highly capable VR headset” which is “superb for the price”. Now, you can get it slightly cheaper, with the £20 discount at John Lewis. “Fast to load, zero jittering and smooth performance, no matter whether I was playing games in 120Hz or 90Hz, jumping up and down or sitting still”, Alex said of the headset. Don’t miss this deal on the Hotel Chocolat velvetiser

Now that it’s hot chocolate season, it’s the perfect time to invest in Hotel Chocolat’s velvetiser. With this deal at Amazon, which is also avaiable at Very, you can save £20 when you buy the hot chocolate making machine.

Hotel Chocolat velvetiser starter kit: Was £109.95, now £89.95, Amazon.co.uk

(Amazon)

Similar to a milk frother, the Hotel Chocolate velvetier beats and whisks the milk and chocolate powder together, to create a silky-smooth mixture with a frothy top. When reviewing the Hotel Chocolat velvetiser, our writer said: “It takes two and a half minutes to make a Willy Wonka-worthy hot chocolate”, adding that the finished result was “rich and frothy and felt really luxurious”. Surely the perfect antidote to this snowy spell?

The Meta Quest 3 is cheaper than ever

This isn’t a Black Friday deal but a permanent price drop for the Meta Quest 3, which we thought we’d highlight here anyway as it’s an incredibly entertaining gadget.

You’ll find this VR headset and more over on our full guide to shopping the best gaming deals this Black Friday.

Meta Quest 3 512GB: Was £619.99, now £469, Amazon.co.uk

(Amazon)

With the launch of the cheaper Meta Quest 3S for £290, Meta has repriced the existing Meta Quest 3 to make its original (and still best) VR headset more enticing. The 512GB model is the most storage you can get and has come down from £619.99 to £469. It features more sophisticated lenses than those found in the budget Meta Quest 3S, so visuals look a little sharper, and it’s slimmer too.
