  • Former Formula 1 team owner Eddie Jordan has died at age 76.
  • Jordan passed away peacefully in Cape Town with his family after a year-long battle with cancer.
  • He had been diagnosed with aggressive bladder and prostate cancer that spread to his spine and pelvis.
  • Jordan founded and ran the Jordan Grand Prix team from 1991 to 2005 and later became a Formula 1 pundit for the BBC.
  • Despite undergoing chemotherapy, he remained active, even leading a consortium that purchased the London Irish rugby club.
