  • Pope Francis, hospitalised with double pneumonia for over five weeks, will make his first public appearance on Sunday.
  • He will offer a blessing from his hospital room window at Rome's Gemelli Hospital around noon.
  • This will replace his usual Sunday noon-time prayer in St. Peter's Square, which he hasn't performed since before his hospitalisation on February 14.
  • Although his condition is improving and he's using less oxygen, it is not known how well he can speak.
  • There's no confirmed discharge date, but a planned meeting with King Charles on April 8 suggests a possible return to the Vatican by then.
