The 2023 Ryder Cup takes place between 29 September – 1 October, with the action taking place between Friday and Sunday. The first two days will involve the two teams competing in fourballs and foursomes, while the final day will see the twelve players from each side clash in the singles event.
The last Ryder Cup was held in 2021 and it resulted in a convincing victory for USA. At Whistling Straits in Wisconsin, the American side led all the way through the three days between September 24-26, with the US establishing a 6-2 lead after the first day before claiming an overall 19-9 triumph.
The Marco Simone Golf and Country Club will be hosting the 2023 Ryder Cup and it’s the first time that this competition has been staged in Italy. The Ryder Cup has been staged since 1927 and the USA have achieved the most wins, having claimed twenty-seven victories in total. However, the majority of these successes came against Great Britain, with Europe competing favourably since 1979 with eleven wins from 22 clashes along with one tie and notably nine wins from the last 13 Ryder Cups.
