Man City betting tips:

The only way Manchester City can better last season, it could be argued, is to win all three domestic trophies and successfully defend their Champions League crown.

Fresh opportunities for even more silverware will present themselves in the upcoming season, namely the European Super Cup followed by December’s Fifa Club World Cup.

Pep Guardiola’s side are odds-on (3/10) to beat Sevilla on Wednesday 16 August while betting sites will no doubt favour them once the final participants are confirmed for the Club World Cup later this year.

Yet neither trophy would qualify in City’s quest to complete the ultimate set of trophies never before lifted by an English club in one single season – the European Cup, league title, FA Cup and League Cup.

Bet on Man City quadruple odds

Unless you're a high roller, the odds for Man City to win the league are too short to take up. Similarly, their odds to win the Champions League are only worth including in an accumulator bet and you'll get 18/1 on them to repeat last season's treble. But what if they can go one better?

Considering Liverpool were as long as 3000/1 to win the quadruple at the beginning of the 2021/22 season – before coming within two games of achieving it – the fact City are just 66/1 to complete the job next term speaks volumes of how highly the bookies rate this team.

It may only equate to a 1.5 per cent chance, but it’s a fun value bet to place a small stake on if you’re looking for ways to capitalise on City’s potential dominance, which almost seems inevitable now they’ve finally broken their Champions League duck.

Bet365 currently have the best odds on a Manchester City quadruple (66/1), but there are other ways of grabbing betting value on the Premier League champions if you’re keen to avoid their short odds in the standard outright markets. More on which below.

Man City odds to go unbeaten

Arsenal fans can continue to brag about their famed ‘Invincible’ squad until another team can match the achievement of Arsene Wenger's 2003/04 side, who went all 38 Premier League games unbeaten.

They won 26 games and drew 12 (90 points) but there is a growing sense that this City side will eventually equal the feat and better it with a larger points tally.

Having amassed 90+ points in three of the last six Premier League seasons – including their 100-point haul in 2017/18 – it’s not unreasonable to predict an ‘Invincible’ campaign before Guardiola’s reign ends.

Could it come on the back of a treble-winning campaign? Last season will have taken its toll on the squad, especially with a World Cup thrown in during winter, and other commitments are likely to get in the way this time around too.

The Club World Cup will provide a scheduling nightmare for Guardiola and we’ll likely witness a lot of tinkering with his squad as we approach the event, which will be staged in Saudi Arabia this year.

Popular football betting sites Boylesports and Bet365 have both set a price of 16/1 on City to go unbeaten in the Premier League season, which is a little too short for our liking based on the extra fixtures that come with being European champions.

Man City odds: Bet on De Bruyne assist total

Kevin De Bruyne moved ahead of Steven Gerrard (92), David Silva (93) and Dennis Bergkamp (94) in the Premier League’s all-time assists leaderboard last season after registering 18 in 32 games.

It puts him joint-fourth with Frank Lampard on 102 and he’s expected to eclipse Wayne Rooney (103) and Cesc Fabregas (111) in the upcoming season. Ryan Giggs stands alone at the top with 162.

Most betting apps will offer odds on who will have the most assists and De Bruyne is generally a 7/4 favourite, but Bet365 will allow you to bet on just how many he’ll get.

Now that he has Erling Haaland finishing chances at will, De Bruyne can expect to sustain last year’s rate of one assist every 1.7 games, while he would likely improve on it if both players can avoid the niggling injuries that saw them miss four games between them last term.

Bet365 are offering 9/2 on De Bruyne getting 20+ assists next season. The Belgian has only achieved this once in his eight seasons with City (20 in 2019/20) but he has previously tallied 19, 16 and 18.

Based on the prowess of Haaland and his understudy Julian Alvarez, this price seems generous, so take up Bet365 on their offer before a ball is kicked.
