Rapper Lil Xan claims he was hospitalised after eating too many Flamin' Hot Cheetos.

"I guess I ate too many Hot Cheetos and it ripped something in my stomach open, so I puked a little blood," he explained on a video posted to Instagram, while promising fans the moment of overindulgence won't be impacting his upcoming Total Xanarchy tour, which is set to commence in New York City on Wednesday.

While the video showed he was busy packing for the tour, the caption added: "Also be careful, Hot Cheetos are one hell of a drug aha".

Lil Xan initially gained a following on SoundCloud and YouTube, culminating in the release of the music video for "Betrayed" in August 2017, which peaked at 64 on the Billboard Hot 100.

His debut album Total Xanarchy was released in April, peaking at number 10 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
