Rob Merkin is Professor of Law at the University of Reading. He has been teaching and writing about insurance law for nearly 50 years, and is the author of a number of books on the subject, including The Law of Motor Insurance. He is past president of the British Insurance Law Association and honorary life president of the International Association of Insurance Law.
