Wasps fly-half Danny Cipriani could be set for a move to Australia, according to the Melbourne Rebels.

The Rebels - who will compete as the 15th franchise in next season's expanded Super 15 - are keen on recruiting the best overseas talent and head coach Rod Macqueen claims Cipriani "seemed very interested" in making the move Down Under as his England career continues to stagnate.

Cipriani is out of contract at Wasps at the end of this season and reportedly held talks with the Rebels last week.

Macqueen told The Times: "Danny is obviously the type of player we would like. He is a very talented individual and one of the players who has the skill-set that would be suitable to Super 15.

"He seemed very interested."
