Arsenal are reportedly closing in on the signing of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

Rabiot has previously spoken of his frustration at his lack of playing time at PSG, and a report from Ita Sport Press claims that his mother, who also works as his agent, is over in London for talks with the Gunners.

What to expect from Arsenal this transfer window

The 20-year-old Frenchman, who has yet to represent his country at full international level, is rated at £15m.

The report adds that Veronique Rabiot has met with Gunners manager Arsene Wenger to begin negotiations over the transfer.

Another midfielder who could be on his way to the Emirates Stadium is FC Basel’s Mohamed Elneny. Reports claim that the Egypt international has successfully undergone a medical with the club ahead of a £7.4m move.

Earlier this week, a statement on Basel's website explained the midfielder's absence from training because "there could be a transfer in the coming days".

And just yesterday, Elneny's Basel team-mate Albian Ajeti let slip that Elneny was on his way to the Premier League leaders, writing on Facebook alongside a picture of the pair:

"I'm happy for you Mohamed El Nenny success in Arsenal," the 18-year-old wrote.
