Premier League transfer round-up: Latest deals from the January window

Jose Mourinho has revealed that Alexis Sanchez's transfer is not "done at all" but has no fears that his move from Arsenal will go through as expected.

The Chilean is set to swap the Emirates for Old Trafford with Henrikh Mkhitaryan heading in the opposite direction with negotiations between the two clubs and both players at an advanced stage after prolonged talks.

Both players won't be eligible to make their debuts this weekend after the clubs failed to meet the Premier League's midday registration deadline on Friday.

Arsene Wenger said on Thursday it was "likely" Sanchez would be a United player within 24 hours, and Mourinho appears confident that United have their man.

"Nothing new," he said when asked for an update. "I think clearly everybody knows that we are there and especially when Arsenal manager speaks so clearly like he did, there is no point in trying to hide or deny.

"But not done at all, so in this moment Mkhitaryan is our player, Sanchez an Arsenal player and with a match tomorrow I want to switch off and focus on the most important thing, which is the match."

Mourinho identified Sanchez as a potential acquisition earlier this month but claims that he has taken a back seat in the negotiations for him since then.

"Sometimes people think transfers involve a lot the managers in the negotiations," he added. "I think it depends on the profile of the club and the way we establish our jobs. In my case when it goes to the table of negotiations I like to be out, I am out and I will just calmly waiting for news, no more than that.

"I will speak with you if one day we sign him, I can speak with you about him and what he can bring to our team. He's an Arsenal player, he's not my player, there's no point in me speaking about something that may or may not happen.

"My involvement in the situation is just to say the reasons why I would like to have the player and no more than that. I'm out."
