Manchester United and Liverpool have been put on alert after reports emerged that Mario Gotze will not be offered a new contract with Bayern Munich this summer.

German outlet TZ have reported that Bayern are preparing new contracts for many of their squad but are not considering the playmaker for a new deal at the end of this season.

The report adds that incoming Bayern Munich manager Carlo Ancelotti has not made contact with Gotze, who seemingly does not feature in his plans for next season when he takes charge at the Allianz Arena.

Real Madrid and Juventus are also reportedly interested in the £31m-rated player, who scored the winning goal for Germany against Argentina in the 2014 World Cup final.

The 23-year-old former Borussia Dortmund midfielder's contract at Bayern expires in the summer of 2017.

Gotze has made only seven Bundesliga appearances this season, three of which have come from the substitutes bench.
