La Liga returns this evening as Spanish champions Fc Barcelona take on Athletic Bilbao in the opening game of the season.
Having reinforced their squad over the summer – adding the likes of Frenkie De Jong and Antoine Griezmann to their ranks – Barcelona stand as favourites to claim a third consecutive league title.
Athletic Bilbao finished eighth last season, missing out on a Europa League play-off spot to Espanyol only on goal difference, and a return to continental competition is the minimum requirement this year.
What time is kick off?
Athletic Bilbao vs Barcelona gets under way at the San Mamés Stadium at 8pm (BST).
