Ariana Grande jokes her personal life is 'still non-existent' following billboard record

Ariana Grande has joked that her personal life is "still non-existent" following her split from Saturday Night Live cast member Pete Davidson.

Grande made the statement during a recent surprise appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

While discussing the singer's achievements over the past year, which include becoming the first artist since The Beatles in 1964 to hold the top three spots on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, Grande explained that her primary focus at the moment is her career.

"Honestly I was so excited you asked me to do this today, because I usually don’t have anything to do, other than make songs and rehearse and that’s it,” the singer told talk show host James Corden.

“Personal life still non-existent,” she added.

In October 2018, Grande and Davidson confirmed that they had gone their separate ways, having announced their engagement five months prior.

The couple were first romantically linked in May 2018.

Speculation quickly grew that they had become engaged a few weeks after the start of their relationship, a rumour that Davidson confirmed during an interview on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

"I feel like I won a contest. So sick," the comedian said at the time.

During her latest appearance on The Late Late Show, Grande sang alongside Filipino boy band TNT Boys, all of whom are self-professed fans of the pop star.

TNT Boys were performing a rendition of "And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going" from the musical Dreamgirls when Grande appeared from the back of the stage, joining in with the trio.

"I'm obsessed with you guys, you guys are so incredible," Grande told them after their performance.

On Wednesday 20 February, Grande and Piers Morgan both posted on Twitter about an interaction they'd recently had a restaurant, revealing that they'd seemingly buried the hatchet following a public feud.

"Thank u for a great night @ArianaGrande," Morgan tweeted, to which the singer replied: "Thank u for some laughs and some v productive conversation! It was nice bumping into u!"

Grande is only the second musician in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 to occupy the top three spots of the chart.

The three songs are all from the singer's new album Thank U, Next, which is currently at the number one spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
