Spice Girls announce a six-date reunion tour for 2019

The Spice Girls have set yet another additional date for their reunion tour after selling out almost all of their upcoming shows.

They are now set to play at Cardiff's Principality Stadium on 27 May, 2019.

Tickets will go on sale this Friday at 9.30am. Sales remain open for the rest of the tour – buy tickets here.

The iconic group has so far sold out three Wembley Stadium shows, three shows at Manchester's Etihad Stadium, and three dates in Edinburgh, Bristol, and Coventry.

Millions of people attempted to purchase tickets for the Spice Girls' long-awaited reunion tour when sales opened on Saturday, 10 November.

Demand was "off the charts", according to Andrew Parsons, Ticketmaster’s managing director.

"They have smashed through Ticketmaster UK’s records becoming the busiest ever sale," Parsons said.

"There were millions of people on our site searching for tickets, with a queue at one point of well over 700,000... from what we saw, they could have played nearly every night for a year.”

The Spice Girls already added five extra dates to their reunion tour over the weekend amid strong demand.

Geri Horner, Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, and Emma Bunton will all return to the stage.

Victoria Beckham will not be joining them, though she did reference the lyrics to the Spice Girls' 1996 hit Wannabe on Sunday night during the People's Choice Awards in Santa Monica, California.

The Spice Girls announced on 5 November that they would be reuniting on stage for the first time since 2012.

Fans are clearly eager to get a taste of 1990s girl power and nine of the upcoming shows are now sold out.

Got sweaty palms already? Check out our handy tips for dealing with the demand:

1) Make sure you are ready and waiting with the web page up at least five minutes before sales open on Friday at 9.30am.

2) Do not let your computer, phone or whatever device holds the key to your happiness run out of battery.

3) Register your details with the website you are booking from in advance, if you can, but don’t panic if you haven’t left enough time as your tickets will be held while you fill out your information

4) Check how many tickets you are allowed to buy in one purchase. If you try to buy more than the limited number, your booking may be cancelled without notice, meaning no-one gets to go.

5) Get your friends to try too, but stay in contact in case you all succeed and end up with a bunch of tickets you didn’t want. If you do need to sell any on, do so at face value. No-one likes a tout.

6) Be patient and avoid refreshing or switching between browsers. Stick with one tab and have some faith! Be prepared to wait for an hour to get tickets.
