Travel Agenda: Rome's Caravaggio exhibition; Air Europa's new Lima route; Hangaroa Eco Village and Spa on Easter Island
Today: A major Caravaggio exhibition opens at the Scuderie del Quirinale in Rome. It marks the 400th anniversary of the baroque artist's death and continues – with accompanying lectures and workshops – until 13 June ( scuderiequirinale.it ).
This week: Air Europa launches a new route between Gatwick and Lima, Peru, via Madrid on Monday ( aireuropa.com ). On Tuesday, "Destination Tsunami: Stories and Struggles from India's Southern Coast" opens in London with photographs of the survivors of the 2004 disaster ( tourismconcern.org.uk ). Also on Wednesday, an Antony Gormley installation, Flare II, will take up residence in St Paul's Cathedral, left ( stpaulscathedral.org.uk ).
In the diary: The Hangaroa Eco Village and Spa is scheduled to open on Easter Island in April, in time for the solar eclipse in June. The resort has been built to resemble an old ceremonial village but will feature high-spec boutique styling ( hangaroa.cl ).
