A company that sells deluxe versions of Remembrance Day poppies worn by celebrities donates only 10 per cent of sales to charity, it has emerged.

The beaded poppy brooches made by Kleshna and sold on behalf of the Royal Legion, are sold for £59.95. Celebrities who have worn the crystal-studded poppy, include Cheryl Cole, Daniel Radcliffe and Simon Cowell.

Owner Kleshna Handel said: "We run a business but genuinely want to give money to charity."
