The Office US stars offer fans chance for virtual coffee date
So far, four of the show’s recurring characters have teamed up with fundraising site Omaze for the event
Fans of The Office (US) can now enter a charity sweepstake to hang out with some of the hit sitcom's stars via video link.
Several cast members have partnered with the fundraising website Omaze to offer a virtual coffee date to the lucky winner.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Variety Boys & Girls Club, a foundation which donates meals, supplies and activities to struggling families during the coronavirus pandemic.
So far, the meetup includes Oscar Nuñez, Creed Bratton, Kate Flannery and Melora Hardin – who play Oscar, Creed, Meredith and Jan respectively.
“We’re going to have so much fun. We’ll get to know each other, talk about the show, I’ll get your credit card information, stuff like that. And I’ll tell you some juicy, behind-the-scenes gossip," joked Bratton in a video announcing the sweepstake.
“Go now and join. Like, seriously, go right now. Don’t make this harder than it needs to be – that’s what she said,” said Nuñez, appropriating a catch phrase from Steve Carell’s gauche lead character Michael Scott.
The Office isn't the only beloved sitcom doing its part to raise money for charity at the moment.
Ahead of the much-anticipated Friends reunion on HBO Max, fans of the series are able to enter an auction for the chance to be in the audience for filming.
