England play a World XI at Soccer Aid 2024 with professional players and celebrities in action at Stamford Bridge.

Mauricio Pochettino is back, too, just weeks after being dismissed by the Blues following a season in charge and will coach up the World XI.

Joining the Argentine in the dugout will be his trusted long-time assistant Jesus Perez and Robbie Keane, fresh from guiding Maccabi Tel Aviv to a league title. England’s coaching set-up includes: Frank Lampard, Harry Redknapp, Vicky McClure, Robbie Williams, David Seaman.

England are desperately searching for victory to snap a run of five successive wins for the World XI, including last year’s 4-2 win at Old Trafford, where Kem Cetinay became Soccer Aid’s all-time leading scorer.

60 mins: That’s interesting.

Eddie Hearn manages to slip the ball across to Jermain Defoe who darts inside of Usain Bolt looking for an opening to shoot. He offloads the ball to Tom Grennan who shoots from range.

It’s a high, floaty effort that Tony Bellew deals with easily enough.

56 mins: Bartlett is causing all sorts of issues. He gets clipped on the edge of the box by Michael Essien and England are awarded a free kick.

Usain Bolt doesn’t want to come off for the World XI and has a chat with Mauricio Pochettino.

Jermain Defoe takes the free kick for England and whips a shot at goal, Tony Bellew gets a hand to the ball and punches it over the top of the crossbar.

GOAL! England XI 3-2 World XI (Bartlett, 53’)

53 mins: England are back in front! Steven Bartlett has only just come onto the pitch at left wing. The ball comes over to him and he dances into the box.

Theo Walcott wants it over on the opposite side of the box but Bartlett shoots, nutmegs Tony Bellew and scores!

England XI 2-2 World XI

48 mins: Paddy McGuinness is into the action already and makes a decent save at his near post to keep England on level terms.

Save! Micheal Ward gets forward on the left wing and is given the ball. He flicks the ball into the middle of the box, perfectly finds Usain Bolt and watches as the captain shoots.

McGuinness is out quickly and and makes a reactionary save to turn the ball out wide.
